*we are what we wear right?- wrong, thats clearly nonsense to be honest, as we are not bodycon skirts, boyfriend blazers, ankle boots, and i am clearly not a doc martin, but there is something about how we dress that says alot about us,

i once read that your personality is you with your clothes on, saying absolutly nothing.....

we have all seen someone wear something on the street and run into topshop the next day to buy similar fittings, we have all profile pic'd Aggy Deyn, Iman, Diane von Furstenberg, Chanel..we have all spent sunday mornings trying to explain to our mums why we wont wear aso-oke to church, or even worse wear "CHURCH HATS"! ....we have all had a say in our fashion, but now its time to take control of it as top designers tell you what they want in thier front row- i would know, i was at the London fashion weekend, paying close attention :P.....

tebi' tara'

i am soo in love with fashion, that i about a year ago, i decided, i just had to more than just a girl that looks through magazine papers and says, "oh thats nice" "ewww who is gonna wear that", i decided, i wanna be a part of that magazine.- so i took a chance and in July 09, tebi'tara' was born.....

a deigner who is also not a couturier, who hasnt learnt the most refined mysteries of physically creating his models, is like a sculptor who gives his drawings to another man, an artisian to accomplish -Yves SaintLaurent ( LEGENDDD)

tebi'tara' in my native language(Yoruba) this means for friends and family, i like to think this clothing line is indeed the beginning of a new era, because there are manyyy designers out there, my age, older and i know there are gonna moreee upcoming ones, and

i feel that in a few years, the fashion industry particularly in AFRICA-Nigeria is gonna change Big tiime. and i have this gut feeling, am gonna part of the evolution-( my gut is always right btw) :P

my line is all about ethinicity, its the clothes us ladies love, its what we go into topshop to buy, onto ASOS to order, but this has a little twist, you can still wear those clothes, buh weneva u wear them u look different from the rest, u have something triking, something colourful, something no one else in Brighton, Manchester, Hertfordshire, Spain, London, Birmingham would have, for us African girls, our lovely colourful ankara material, and for everyone else really, jus to be ethnic -is sexy! :P
